Penco Engineering Inc. was established in 1999 to provide structural engineering
services. Since that time Penco has offered many innovative, practical and cost
saving solutions to its clients. In doing so, the concept has been to focus on the
clients functional requirements and then to provide the solution best suited to the
needs of the client.
The founding engineer of Penco Engineering Inc. is Vernon Penner. Vern has 28
years of engineering experience. The first 15 years included on-site construction
experience, the design of offshore pipeline routes and offshore drilling rigs, as well
as 8 years during which time he was the Western Canadian regional structural
engineer for two multi-national corporations. Vern graduated from the University of
Calgary in 1984 with a B.Sc in Civil Engineering (Structural). After several years in
the workplace he returned to the University of Alberta to complete a Masters of
Structural Engineering. During his time at Penco Engineering, Vern has been
involved in a wide variety of projects. A general description of these can be found
in the Services section of this website.
